Ann Turkel
The model and actress currently lives with Samantha and her dog (above) as well as Olivia. Ann Turkel's ex-husband Richard Harris has passed away after only 8 years of marriage and 20 years divorce. Turkel, who was raised in Manhattan and has a Jewish middle class family, studied at both the Neighborhood Playhouse and American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 16. Ann is a native of New York in the Upper West Side in Manhattan and has always displayed an aptitude for entertaining. As a fifth-grader when she was in the fifth grade, she started dancing lessons. She continued to study art in college. She credits her mother for inspiring her to pursue an artistic career. Ann has been studying voice, dancing, and acting since the age of her first child. Ann aged 16 when she began her study at the Neighborhood Playhouse, the Musical Theatre Academy. Ann also studied in the studio of Sandy Meisner. Ann joined a group along with high school friends and began to sing. The Pajama Game", as well as West Side Story, were some of the summer productions she did at the Berkshire Playhouse Stockbridge Massachusetts. Ann was discovered when she performed at an event for Vogue's fashion with her group. Within a week editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her very first Vogue cover with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann then became one the top models across the nation, gracing cover images for some of the largest fashion magazines. This included Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann modeled successfully for cosmetic companies such as Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe following two years.
